EUscreen is a consortium of over 30 partners & associates from 20 European countries co-ordinated by the University of Utrecht. It offers free online access to videos, stills, texts and audio from European broadcasters and audiovisual archives. Content covers the period from the early 20th century until today. You can perform your own search or use the online exhibitions, which showcase subjects as diverse as historical debates, disasters and conflicts as well as cultural items such as fashion, food and drink. As well as a basic keyword search you can use the advanced search to limit your results by source, language, format, topic or time period. The project is ongoing and new content is continually becomming available. As the project develops new tools will be introduced to allow users to create their own exhibitions.
