Jeffrey Zeldman’s Web Design Manifesto 2012

Jeffrey Zeldman’s Web Design Manifesto 2012, is the product of entrepreneur, web designer, author, podcaster and speaker on web design, Jeffrey Zeldman. He is the founder of the e-zine A List Apart, which focuses on best practices and innovations in web design and front-end development. Zeldman used A List Apart as an evangelical platform, showing designers how to use web standards to achieve accessible, search-engine-friendly sites that cost less to produce and work better across platforms. He is also behind the web design studio Happy Cog. Zeldman co-hosts The Big Web Show, an audio podcast that explores issues surrounding the web and online publishing. The show features special guests and topics such as web publishing, art direction, content strategy, typography, web technology, and more. So far episodes have included discussions on web design & typography on the web. The manifesto argues that websites are so increasingly cluttered that an increasing number of users turn to third party software to access web content - suggesting that designers are missing the point when it comes to what's important about website design.
